Hollard Ghana is seeking a highly skilled, analytical and results-oriented Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit team.

Report to: Head of Internal Audit
Job Location: Accra
Job Objectives

To support the delivery of the Internal audit strategy by planning, leading and executing risk-based audit and advisory engagements across the business.

The role is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing independent, objective assurance and practical recommendations that strengthen regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and business performance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
-
Plan, lead and execute risk-based internal audit engagements in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards and approved audit methodology.

Evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control processes across business operations.

Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies and emerging risks, and recommend practical improvements.

Prepare high-quality audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments and actionable recommendations.

Monitor and follow up on agreed management actions to ensure timely remediation of audit findings.

Support the Head of Internal Audit in developing and delivering the annual audit plan and preparing reports for Management and Board Committees.

Lead, supervise and coach audit team members, ensuring quality and timely completion of engagements.

Leverage data analytics and audit technology to improve audit effectiveness and coverage.

Conduct special reviews, investigations and advisory assignments as required.

Build effective relationships with stakeholders while maintaining professional independence and objectivity.

Provide input to the Group Internal Audit (GIA) strategy, and lead execution of some of those actions.
Qualification and Relevant Experience
-
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Insurance or a related discipline.

A Finalist in CIA, ACCA, ICAG or CIMA. Full professional certification will be an added advantage.

At least six (6) years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of three (3) years in an audit management role.

Sound knowledge of the Global Internal Audit Standards IFRS, corporate governance and risk management practices.

Strong understanding of General Insurance and Life Assurance operations, including associated business risks and controls.

Good knowledge of IT General Controls and technology-related risks.

Experience with audit management software and data analytics tools.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and professional judgement.

Excellent report-writing, communication and presentation skills.

Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
-
High ethical standards, integrity, confidentiality and professional independence.

Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work within deadlines.

A proactive with strong attention to detail.
