POSITION SUMMARY:

Ecom Agrotrade, a leading global commodity merchant and sustainable supply chain management company, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and innovative Warehouse Officer with a track record of excellence in Warehouse Management. The Warehouse Officer will oversee the management of stocks, assist with internal and external warehouse audits, manage receipt, track storage and supervise the distribution of stocks or inputs and report on inventory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Warehouse Officer will have the following responsibilities:

Stock Management

  • Receive stocks and inputs (i.e. PPEs, Jute sacks, & Agro inputs) for Ecom Businesses
  • Keep adequate records or data on stocks and inputs
  • Distribute stocks and inputs to districts and businesses after receiving approvals
  • Handle annual stock counts

Data Entry & Reporting

  • Handle Empower data entry on jute sacks
  • Manage data entry for the Inventory team
  • Handle stock management data entry (inventory on stocks) for all businesses
  • Send daily and weekly reports on stocks/inventory to the Business Head and AGMs

Health & Safety

  • Ensure the stocking of inputs in ways that ensure safety
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept neat and tidy at all times
  • Supervise workers to ensure security at the warehouse at all times
  • Provide first aid and safety tips to warehouse workers

Internal Controls, audit and handling payments

  • Prepare for audits
  • Handle internal and external audits
  • Pay casual workers
  • Request for imprest using the company system
  • Undertake any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time ensure smooth and effective management of the company warehouse.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential

  • Minimum educational level required: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics management, Purchasing & Supply, finance/Accounting /Business Management.
  • Technical qualifications required: Good working knowledge of MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Ability to do data entry
  • Experience: 2 – 5 years in a similar position.

Desirable

  • Experience managing a warehouse will be a plus
  • Experience in data entry or data management
  • Practical knowledge and experience with SAP
  • Practical working experience in rural communities and the cocoa industry
  • Committed to meeting deadlines, and willingness to work extra hours and sometimes on weekends as and when required;
  • Willingness to live and work in the Field/required district
