ROLE SUMMARY
As a core member of the Senior Management Team, lead and manage all financial operations of the Country Office to ensure financial integrity, compliance, strategic budgeting, strong internal controls, and effective financial stewardship that enables successful delivery of Right To Play programs.
Accountability & Responsibilities
Lead Financial Management (30%)

Implement global financial strategies, policies, and procedures, adapting them as needed to align with the local context; oversee budgeting processes; conduct financial analysis and BvA reviews; manage external audits; maintain internal controls; supervise cash flow and cash transfer requests; assess financial risks; and ensure compliance with financial regulations and donor requirements.
Oversee Financial Accounting & Reporting (30%)

Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting; oversee book closing; supervise reconciliations, bookkeeping, payroll, receivables, and statutory compliance; maintain accurate documentation; monitor partners’ expenditures and compliance; and ensure adherence to local tax and legal requirements.

Expertise (Certifications / Education, Professional Experience/Language)

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
-
CMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications (highly desirable)

7 years’ progressive experience in nonprofit accounting and grant financial management
-
A high level of proficiency at producing and reviewing financial information for donors and management to ensure accurate, robust and clear budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Experience managing and developing finance teams under pressure, diligently and with an eye for detail

Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Fluency in written & spoken English and relevant local language(s). French required in francophone contexts.

Additional Information
May require travel within the country, including hardship areas, and occasionally internationally. The role involves periods of high workload and tight deadlines.
