JOB PURPOSE:
The Business Improvement Manager’s role is to identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth, revenue and identify new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements including the Minerals and Mining Act and Minerals Commission guidelines.
The Ultimate goal is to derive business growth, increase productivity and take the company to the next level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within mining and related industries (exploration, extraction, processing, equipment supply, or services) Identifying new opportunities, clients and partnerships
- Developing and executing business strategies both internal and external
- Prepare and present proposals, tenders, and bids for mining contracts and partnerships
- Negotiate contracts and agreements ensuring alignment with company objectives and Ghanaian mining law
- Collaborate with technical, legal, and finance teams to structure viable business deals
- Monitor industry trends, government policy changes, and regulatory developments affecting mining operations
- Support local content and local participation compliance requirements
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
- Periodic business development reports and revenue forecasts for management
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field (MBA an advantage)
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in business development, preferably within mining, extractives, or related industries in Ghana
- Strong knowledge of Ghana’s mining regulatory framework (Minerals and Mining Act 2006, Act 703, as amended)
- Proven track record of securing contracts, partnerships, or new business
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and strategic planning ability
- Willingness to travel to mining sites and regional offices as required
