Full Job Description - Read Carefully


The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for government relations, company compliance management, administrative operations, employee payroll approval, and ensuring that factory operations comply with Ghanaian laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Government Liaison

Coordinate with various stakeholders, including members of the following government agencies:

  • Factory Department
  • Government authorities
  • Social Security and Insurance Trust Fund (SSNIT)
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  • Customs
  • Local authorities
  • Handle inspections, permits, measurements, and compliance matters.

Compliance & Legal Documentation

  • Manage company licenses, permits, and regulatory documents;
  • Ensure factory operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems;
  • Assist the warehouse department with compliance-related matters.

Administrative Management

  • Manage employee attendance records;
  • Coordinate office administration and procurement activities;
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, and company logistics;
  • Maintain internal administrative records.

Payroll Adjustments

  • Assist in reviewing employee salaries and payroll records;
  • Review attendance, loans, overtime, and allowances;
  • Support the finance department with payroll processing.

Employee Relations

  • Assist in implementing company policies and disciplinary procedures;
  • Maintain employee records and personnel files;
  • Support communication between management and employees.

Required Skills or Experience

  • At least 2 years of work experience in administration, human resources, compliance, or related fields;
  • Experience in factories or the manufacturing industry is preferred;
  • Familiarity with Ghanaian labor laws and government procedures is an advantage.

Skills

  • Good English communication skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and execution ability;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Good coordination and reporting skills.

Employment Terms

  • Vacancy available;
  • Probation period: 6 months;
  • Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience dealing with government departments;
  • Experience in escalation handling;
  • Experience in factory management;
  • Ability to speak Chinese is an added advantage.
