Role Overview
Total Transload Services is seeking a Remote Yard Operations Manager to support daily rail and transloading operations. This role focuses on capturing operational data, monitoring yard activity, and producing structured updates that enable the onsite Yard Manager to make informed operational decisions.
The position is ideal for someone with strong analytical and logistics coordination skills who can convert operational information into clear and actionable reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily railcar arrivals, departures, loading, and unloading activities
- Track yard inventory, railcar status, and transloading throughput
- Prepare daily operational updates and reports for the onsite Yard Manager
- Identify operational delays and bottlenecks risks
- Maintain accurate records of truck movements, silo utilization, and yard activity
- Coordinate remotely with yard staff, dispatch teams, and operations leadership
- Maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools to ensure visibility of yard activity

Requirements
- Graduate or Engineer in Mechanical or related field. Course in Six Sigma or process flows will be advantageous.
- 3–7 years of experience in logistics, yard operations, rail operations, or dispatch coordination
- Strong Excel and operational reporting skills
- Excellent communication and organizational ability
- Experience with railcar tracking, freight logistics, or transloading operations is an asset
- Ability to work independently and support field operations remotely
