Job Purpose
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily haulage operations to ensure the efficient movement of trucks, drivers, and cargo while maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transportation schedules and assign trucks and drivers for operations.
- Monitor vehicle movement and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Liaise with drivers, clients, warehouse personnel, and management on operational matters.
- Maintain fleet records, including fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and vehicle documentation.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing and ensure fleet readiness.
- Monitor driver attendance, performance, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports and transport documentation.
- Address operational challenges and support prompt resolution of customer concerns.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures.

Required Skills or Experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Good problem-solving and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to detail and effective record-keeping skills.
