We are currently inviting passionate, dedicated, and caring individuals to join our early years team in the following position: Nursery Assistant
Job Summary
The Nursery Assistant will support teachers in providing quality care and engaging learning experiences for young children within a warm and stimulating classroom environment. The successful candidate should be passionate about working with children, eager to learn, and committed to supporting early childhood development.

Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Support children during learning, play, feeding, and rest times.
- Help prepare teaching and learning materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised learning environment.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and training sessions.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an SHS graduate who can read, comprehend, and write clearly.
- Has passion for teaching and nurturing children in their early years.
- Sees Early Years education as a career path and is committed to growing in this field.
- Has a caring, patient, and positive attitude.
- Is eager to learn, takes initiative, and works collaboratively as part of a team.
- Is organised, reliable, and able to follow instructions effectively.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working with children will be an added advantage but is not compulsory.
- Candidates living within 5–10 miles of Achimota will be highly considered.
