Role Overview

The Video Editor is the production engine of the digital team. Your primary function is to transform the founder's sermons, teachings, and event footage into content that reaches millions of people across Facebook and YouTube every week. This is not a general video editing role, it requires the editorial judgement to know which 90 seconds of a 60-minute sermon will stop someone mid-scroll, the technical skill to execute it to a professional standard, and the spiritual sensitivity to handle the founder's teaching with care.

You are also responsible for Reels production across Facebook and Instagram, YouTube upload management, and developing the live stream workflow for events and services. You work closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure content is formatted and optimized for each platform before it goes out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and package sermon content into platform-ready clips, Reels (60–90 seconds), YouTube Shorts, Facebook video clips, and full-length uploads, on a consistent weekly cadence.
  • Manage the YouTube channel from a production perspective: upload scheduling, thumbnail review, chapter markers, description optimization, and maintaining upload consistency.
  • Produce Instagram and Facebook Reels, including caption overlays, audio optimization, and formatting for each platform's specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a live stream production workflow for GPWS events and services, coordinating with Dominion Studios for event-scale productions.
  • Maintain an organized video archive in Google Drive, footage, exported files, project files, using the naming convention and folder structure established by the team.
  • Stay current with platform algorithm changes that affect video performance, particularly Facebook's 1-minute view threshold and YouTube's watch time and retention metrics, and adapt editing approaches accordingly

Required Skills or Experience

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates both long-form and short-form content.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent professional editing software. Cap Cut competency for Reels production is a plus.
  • Understanding of social media video formats, aspect ratios, and optimization for each platform.
  • Editorial judgement, the ability to watch an hour of footage and identify the moments that matter.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to produce consistent output under a weekly content rhythm. This role is not project-based; it is an ongoing production commitment.
  • Faith alignment with the ministry's mission. You will spend significant time inside the founder's teaching, you should be someone who values and respects that material
