Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQs)
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budget
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and support procurement processes
- Manage contracts, variations, and claims
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and cost implications
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients
Job Requirements
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field
- Minimum of 2–5 years relevant experience in construction cost management
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Good communication and reporting skills
