JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on CAT MD6200 Drills in accordance with OEM and Mantrac standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic system faults using Caterpillar diagnostic tools and service literature.
- Carry out component change-outs, adjustments, and rebuilds to meet reliability and performance requirements.
- Conduct detailed visual and technical inspections and prepare accurate reports and recommendations for maintenance planning.
- Complete all work orders and service documentation accurately in the Mantrac maintenance management system.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with site procedures, Mantrac safety policies, and environmental standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, cost reduction, and process efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance planning, reliability, and field service teams to optimize shovel uptime.
- Provide technical support, coaching, and knowledge transfer to local technicians and apprentices as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Remove and install machine components, following procedures outlined in SOPs/STPs and appropriate service manuals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATION, COMPETENCE & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of MVT/MET/EET/HND or BSc Mech, Agric and Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in heavy duty earthmoving mining and construction machineries.
- Must have deep troubleshooting skill in engines, hydraulic, powertrain, steering and brakes.
- Must have at least Ghanaian driver’s license CE.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar tracked equipment and mechanical systems.
- A good knowledge of Cat ET and SIS is essential.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work in a noisy and dusty environment and under extreme temperatures (Heat).
- Must adjust to prolonged working hours on the day shift (12 hours).
- Must be physically and mentally fit for the Job.
SKILLS
- Excellent technical HSE Knowledge & skills.
- Good time keeping
- Tenacity
- Full Driving License Required (Minimum BE)
- Good Numerical Skill
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
