How You'll Make an Impact
We are seeking a creative and detail-driven Associate – Marketing & Communications to elevate and amplify the BPS brand and sharpen our narrative positioning.
In this role, you will drive compelling internal and external communications that showcase our impact across Africa’s energy sector. We are looking for a sharp writer and strategic thinker with a passion for powerful storytelling at the intersection of technology and energy.

What You'll Do
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Draft, edit, and proofread insight-led content for various channels, including social media, blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and website copy
- Support the translation of complex technical and operational work into clear, compelling narratives that position BPS as a thought leader in Africa’s energy sector.
Social Media Management
- Ensure the day-to-day management of BPS’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X), ensuring consistent brand voice and visual identity.
- Build and execute strategic content calendars aligned with business priorities and campaign objectives.
- Track engagement metrics and audience insights to continuously optimize performance and reach
Brand Strategy Support
- Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned with corporate goals and growth priorities
- Strengthen brand visibility and positioning across key markets through targeted storytelling and audience segmentation
Internal Communications
- Partner with internal teams to craft impactful announcements, newsletters, and leadership communications
- Support employer branding initiatives that reinforce culture, engagement, and talent attraction
Event & Webinar Coordination
- Support the planning and coordination of webinars, conferences, and industry engagements that showcase BPS’s expertise and impact
- Amplify event visibility through pre- and post-event communications across digital platforms
What We're Looking For
Professional & Technical Strengths
- Experience in marketing, corporate communications, public relations, or a related role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, tone, and grammar
- Proven experience managing corporate social media accounts and creating engaging digital content
- Proficiency with marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Canva), with working knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
- Ability to distil complex technical or energy-related concepts into clear, persuasive, and audience-focused narratives

Leadership & Interpersonal Strengths
- Ability to collaborate with multicultural and geographically distributed teams
- High degree of autonomy and accountability (we operate within a hybrid work environment)
- Proactive, self-driven professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
- Strong cross-functional collaborator, capable of working across departments to ensure aligned and consistent storytelling
- Clear, structured communicator with strong organizational skills and sound judgment
Nice to Have
- Experience in a B2B technology, SaaS, or fast-growth company environment
- Familiarity with graphic design or video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Fluency in French
