About The Role

The Centers Channel Lead is responsible for driving the strategic and operational performance of MSIG’s Centers channel. The role ensures that the Centers are guided by a clear strategy, deliver excellent clinical quality, increase access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, and achieve long-term sustainability.

The role requires close collaboration with Regional Managers, Programme teams, Finance, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Government stakeholders, and external partners. The Centres Channel Lead is a key member of the Directorate Management Team and MSIG’s Leadership Group, contributing to strategy, cross-functional leadership, and the promotion of MSIG values and leadership behaviours.The post holder is expected to fully comply with, promote, and live MSI Core Values:

Key Responsibilities

Channel Lead Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the formulation and implementation of operational strategy to ensure growth, excellent clinical quality, and increased funding across MSIG’s Centres network.
  • Develop and oversee annual business plans for the Centres channel, ensuring alignment with MSIG Success Model rules and recommendations.
  • Ensure roles of Centre teams are clearly defined, communicated, and reflected in country business plans and OGSMs.
  • Lead budget monitoring and fiscal management of Centre Channel budgets.
  • Drive expansion of the Centre network to increase access to quality SRH and family planning services.
  • Strengthen project management systems and ensure consistent best practice in project lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Quality Leads to conduct quarterly CQIAs and prepare sites for external QTAs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major stakeholders, including the Ghana Health Service (GHS), and represent Centres at stakeholder forums and meetings.
  • Review monthly performance trends, reports, and budget variance analysis to achieve operational excellence.
  • Track all demand generation activities on a marketing calendar and link performance to service delivery, method mix, and client demographics.
  • Ensure community-led demand generation activities use behaviour change frameworks.

Departmental & Organizational Leadership

  • Actively participate in strategic meetings as a senior member of the Directorate Management Team.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering cohesion, motivation, and accountability.
  • Set and review performance objectives for direct reports and teams; conduct formal performance reviews using MSIG’s “Performance Plus” system.
  • Ensure staffing composition is fit for purpose, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities aligned to organizational priorities.
  • Strengthen project management systems and ensure consistent application of best practices.
  • Maintain effective relationships internally with all departmental heads and externally with other SRH partners.
  • Role model strong leadership behaviours, support the development of the organization's leadership culture, and contribute to annual and strategic business planning.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public health, Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • bachelor's degree in a relevant field with commensurate experience is also considered
  • Formal training/certification in Health Systems Management, Project Management, or Operations Management is an advantage

Skills and Experience

  • 5–8 years of relevant post-graduation experience in leadership, healthcare operations, or commercial management
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in leading teams and managing staff performance
  • Experience in launching new projects and working across teams to achieve implementation plans
  • Experience engaging with young people through behaviour change, marketing, or peer education programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce high-quality reports
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks
  • Experience working with NGOs or multilateral/bilateral agencies is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of business commercialization, revenue generation, and cost management in health or social enterprise settings
