Job Summary
The Transport Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the organization’s transport and fleet operations. The role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods and personnel by managing vehicles, drivers, routes, maintenance, and compliance with transport regulations.
The Transport Manager oversees daily transport activities, controls fuel and maintenance costs, enforces safety standards, and ensures all vehicles are roadworthy and properly insured.
The role also involves supervising drivers, maintaining accurate transport records, investigating transport incidents, and providing regular operational reports to management.
Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years' experience in transport or fleet management
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Good knowledge of road transport regulations and safety standards
- Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Good record-keeping and reporting abilities
- Cost-control and budgeting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Excel, Word, fleet systems)
Salary: GHS 2000 - 5000
Location: Ogbojo - East Legon
