Summary:
This role is responsible for the efficient and compliant management of warehouse operations, ensuring seamless receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to meet business and customer demands. The position plays a critical part in maintaining high service levels, operational accuracy, and adherence to legal, safety, and quality standards. By driving continuous improvement, optimizing warehouse performance, and leading a skilled team, the individual ensures reliability, scalability, and excellence across all warehouse functions, including inventory control, logistics, import/export processes, and health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of best practice warehouse strategies, policies, and processes to enhance operational performance.
- Ensure accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in line with company procedures and standards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular physical counts, reconciliations, and system updates.
- Oversee documentation accuracy, including labeling, goods-in/goods-out records, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure ERP and automated systems are up to date and support operational needs.
- Identify and drive system improvements and process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to meet current and future capacity needs.
- Develop and maintain KPIs, reports, training materials, safety records, and process documentation.
- Establish and enforce high standards for warehouse security, cleanliness, and operational order.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSSE) regulations and promote a safe working culture.
- Manage hazardous materials in accordance with legal and safety requirements.
- Lead performance management, including setting SLAs, monitoring KPIs, and driving team accountability.
- Apply problem-solving techniques to resolve operational challenges effectively.
- Support quality initiatives, including PPM (Parts Per Million) management and international standards compliance.
- Coach, develop, and manage warehouse staff and team leaders to achieve departmental goals.
- Build and maintain in-house expertise in import and export duties management.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance for warehouse equipment and assets.

Requirements:
- First Degree or HND in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Project Management, or Inventory Management.
- 6+ years of post-qualification experience in warehouse and logistics operations.
- Professional qualification in Supply Chain or Warehouse/Logistics Management (e.g., MCIPS preferred)
- Proven experience in the Extractive, Telecoms, or FMCG sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or business development in Telecoms, ISP, or Technology sectors.
- Demonstrated success in identifying business opportunities and delivering customized solutions.
- Solid understanding of enterprise-grade telecom and technology solutions (e.g., connectivity, mobile, cloud).
- Experience managing public sector, NGO, or diplomatic accounts and navigating tender/bid processes is a plus.
- Proven consultative selling and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives.
- Strong negotiation and presentation capabilities.
- Self-driven with the ability to thrive independently and collaborate effectively in virtual teams
