Bloomberg News is one of the biggest financial and business news organizations in the world. We lead the way in breaking news and providing analysis on financial markets, from daily coverage through to in-depth features. We are known for our quality, accuracy and ability to deliver news investors can use. It’s what keeps us inventing and re-inventing, all the time.

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and self-starting reporter to join our team in covering Ghana and West Africa -- with a particular focus on the Sahel. You are someone with a strong network of sources who is at ease covering daily breaking news as well as adept at pulling together enterprise stories that paint the big picture for a global audience. You will work with a team of reporters and editors across Africa -- and globally -- and be responsible for staying on top of the regional political and economic development that will impact businesses, markets and the economy.

You will help cover some of the top regional companies that are major players in key sectors such as energy, mining, banking and telecoms. You need a collaborative attitude and must embrace an all-hands-on deck approach, which means often taking the lead in writing or even editing copies from freelance correspondents across the region. You will have opportunities to explore multiple formats to tell a story, be it through a long-form article, a chart or a video package.
