Acheampong & Associates is a premium legal and advisory practice operating across Immigration & Citizenship, Investor & Business Advisory, Global Mobility, and Family Law. The firm serves a diverse international client base, including expatriates, diaspora families, investors, and high-net-worth individuals.

We are building a disciplined, tier-governed, premium advisory practice supported by structured service frameworks, governance systems, and legally authoritative internal deliverables.

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-calibre Paralegal to support the Family Law Unit, with a clear promotion pathway to Senior Caseworker.

This role is legally intensive and is suited for candidates with strong legal training, analytical depth, and the ability to work within a structured advisory framework. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Partner (currently acting as Lead Attorney for the Unit) and support complex family-law advisory and execution matters.

Key Practice Areas Supported

  • Divorce, separation, and custody advisory
  • Surrogacy legal advisory, contract review, and parentage strategy
  • Adoption and family formation strategy (local and cross-border)
  • Legal research, drafting, and advisory memoranda
  • Client case coordination and documentation support

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of Family Law services strictly in line with the firm’s approved service families and tier structure
  • Conduct legal research and prepare structured internal briefs and client-facing memoranda
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing family law–related agreements and legal documentation
  • Support client intake, case triage, and file preparation under established SOPs
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with governance and quality standards
  • Participate in structured learning and development toward Senior Caseworker responsibilities

Required Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree
  • Strong legal research and writing ability
  • Demonstrable interest or experience in family law–related matters

Preferred

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a law firm, legal department, or advisory practice
  • Exposure to client-facing legal work
  • Familiarity with structured legal workflows and documentation standards

  • High attention to detail and professional discipline
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Willingness to learn within a governed, process-driven legal environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication
