VisionSpring seeks an organized, analytically-minded, creative communications specialist to lead digital channel execution and audience engagement.
The Digital Communications Lead owns the day-to-day execution and optimization of all global digital platforms—website, social media, email newsletters, and donor engagement campaigns. This role combines strategic thinking about audience segments and message testing with hands-on execution: scheduling posts, updating web copy, managing analytics, and ensuring consistent brand voice across all online channels. You'll work with across global teams to disseminate content, evidence, and customer stories, measure what resonates, and continuously refine based on data.
The person in this role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders—including marketing, resource mobilization, programs, and the executive office—across eight countries: Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zambia. This position reports to the Global Senior Manager of Communications.

About You
- You have strong project management and organizational skills, with extraordinary attention to detail. You manage multiple digital channels and campaigns simultaneously without losing quality or momentum.
- You are data-driven. You understand what metrics matter (engagement, click-through, conversion, reach), routinely analyze performance, and optimize strategy based on what the data tells you. And you understand how to communicate this information broadly through dashboards and slide decks.
- You are a clear, concise writer with an ear for brand voice. You can adapt style and messaging for different audiences—donors, customers, partners, media—while maintaining VisionSpring consistency.
- You are proficient with technical tools. You've managed content management systems, email campaign platforms, social media scheduling tools, analytics dashboards (e.g., Google Analytics), and online design tools (e.g., Canva).
- You are proactive and resourceful. When something isn't working, you problem-solve. When a campaign isn't resonating, you test alternatives. You don't wait for direction on optimization.
- You enjoy working across time zones and cultures with a diverse team. You thrive in environments where priorities can shift and each day brings new challenges.

Job Requirements
The Basics:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, writing-intensive field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in digital communications, digital marketing, content management, or social media management.
- Demonstrated expertise managing social media platforms and email marketing campaigns.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to proofread at an advanced level.
- Working knowledge of analytics tools: Google Analytics, social media platform analytics, email marketing analytics.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing platforms.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact, MailChimp, HubSpot preferred).
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or other design tools.
- Impeccable attention to detail with strong project management and organizational skills.
- Data-driven mindset: ability to understand and interpret digital metrics and use them to optimize strategy.
- Experience or strong interest in international development, social enterprise models, or nonprofit communications.
- Demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with diverse teams and collaborating with external consultants.
- Must meet the highest standards of ethics and personal integrity, with capacity for discretion and handling sensitive information with care.
- Extraordinary follow-through, sense of urgency, and strong personal accountability.
- Comfort with a flexible work schedule and working across multiple time zones.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Nigeria, or Ghana.
You Will Impress Us If You Have:
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and search optimization.
- A track record of building systems and dashboards to report out on KPIs and performance metrics.
- Case studies demonstrating success growing online followers and engagement, specifically with philanthropic audiences.
- Experience with project management software (Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
- Experience crafting communications specifically for nonprofit or social enterprise audiences.
- Experience working with international consultants and freelancers across multiple time zones.
- Understanding of PR strategy and media outreach.
