Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Business Development Officer to join our growing team and drive strategic expansion.
Job Purpose:
To spearhead business growth by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, marketing banking products, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality commercial banking services and loan products, contributing to the bank's financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Growth: Achieve targets for new liability (deposit) accounts and loan portfolios.
- Client Acquisition: Proactively source and solicit new commercial clients, focusing on non-consumer loans, deposits, and treasury services.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their specific financial needs.
- Product Promotion: Market the bank's diverse range of banking products and services effectively.
- Loan Portfolio Quality: Support the credit function by developing strong loan proposals that meet bank policies and contribute to a high-quality loan book.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and potential customer segments to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with branch teams and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Required Skills or Experience
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or relationship management within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial banking products, loan processing, and credit administration.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Analytical skills to assess market opportunities and customer viability.
- HND in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is often required.
