Job Purpose

  • Overall responsibility for driving commercial revenue and leading the end-to-end conceptualisation, planning and execution of events and promotional programmes for the organisation
  • Create, coordinate and supervise events and promotional activities of the group
  • Plan, develop and implement client-tailored promotions/events with the view to build a cumulative audience and generate additional revenue.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and convert sales opportunities for media events, promotions, experiential campaigns and sponsorship packages
  • Build and manage long-term relationship with advertisers, agencies, brands and strategic partners
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals and presentations
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets for events and promotions
  • Lead the development of event concepts and experiences aligned with MGL’s identify and audience.
  • Conduct market research and audience insight analysis to inform innovative event ideas
  • Work with content, editorial and production teams to ensure concepts complement programming and brand strategies
  • Manage the full lifecycle of events, from concept and planning to onground execution and post-event evaluation
  • Develop event budgets, timelines, workflows and execution plans
  • Coordinate with internal teams, production, creatives, sales & customer service, TV/radio programming, digital and technical units
  • Source and manage vendors, talent, influencers, performers, hosts and suppliers
  • Oversee event logistics, branding, production quality, guest experience and venue management
  • Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
  • Manage partner/sponsor deliverables and ensure all contractual obligations are met
  • Maintain strong relationships with media partners, government bodies, vendors and community groups

  • Achievement of events & sponsorship revenue targets
  • Number of new clients and partnerships secured
  • Quality and timelines of event delivery
  • Improvements introduced to existing events and their impact.
  • Audience engagement, attendance, and media coverage
  • Client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Efficiency in budget management and cost optimization
  • Proposal win rate and campaign conversion metrics

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Business, Communications, Events Management, Media Studies or related field
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in events sales, sponsorship, partnership management, or promotional activations – preferably within a media or entertainment environment
  • Strong track record in closing deals and achieving revenue targets
  • Proven experience in conceptualizing and executing media events, concerts, brand activations or experiential campaigns
  • Experience working with agencies, advertisers, sponsors and media brands
