Job Summary:

The Security Coordinator is responsible for managing and supervising the company’s security operations. The role ensures a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and company assets by enforcing security policies, coordinating security personnel, and responding to incidents appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily security operations, including access control, surveillance monitoring, and patrols.
  • Supervise and schedule internal and third-party security personnel to ensure full coverage.
  • Effectively setting out goals and objectives for your team, including those for supervisory roles that fall under your reporting line and structure.
  • Completing risk assessments and site evaluations as well as completing monthly performance reports.
  • Enforce company security policies and procedures across all departments.
  • Investigate security breaches, incidents, or loss of property and provide timely reports to management.
  • Monitor and maintain functionality of security equipment (e.g., CCTV, access control systems).
  • Ensuring all safety and security protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, store, and facility managers to assess security needs and close any gaps.
  • Maintain incident logs and security reports for audit purposes.
  • Train and orient new guards on company policies, emergency response, and reporting procedures.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when required.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend improvements to physical security infrastructure.
  • Monitor visitor entry and exit to ensure compliance with protocols.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Security Management or a related field.
  • At least 3–10 years of experience in a security supervisory role, preferably in a retail or warehouse setting.
  • Experience with CCTV and access control systems.
  • Familiarity with occupational safety and emergency procedures.
  • Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work on weekends and holidays as required.
