The ideal candidate will take real ownership of backend-heavy systems. This is a hands-on coding role with plenty of room to grow into technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and microservices.
- Integrate AI capabilities (e.g., speech-to-text, automation workflows, predictive features) into existing and new products.
- Develop and improve internal infrastructure and communication tools.
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code and champion engineering best practices.
- Occasionally contribute to frontend when needed (mostly Next.js/React).
- Collaborate closely with the team and gradually own one or more core systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- 4 - 6 years of professional software development experience after national service.
- Strong backend expertise in PHP/Laravel and/or TypeScript/Node.js (both is ideal; deep strength in at least one is required).
- Solid experience building REST APIs and working with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML services in production (OpenAI API, LangChain, Hugging Face, etc.).
- Comfortable with Docker, basic DevOps, and deploying to cloud environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
- Experience with telephony/comms protocols (SMPP, SIP) is a big advantage.
- Frontend skills (React, Next.js) are a bonus but not required.
- Fair understanding of how the typical web stack functions from the server-side to the browser.
- Familiarity with version control systems.
