About Ethical Leaders Lyceum

Ethical Leaders Lyceum is a Christian basic school located in Nungua, Accra. We are committed to nurturing learners to become confident, morally grounded, and academically excellent future leaders. We have built a strong community focused on discipline, character formation, curiosity, and excellence and are now seeking a dynamicAcademic Head to lead our academic vision into its next phase of expansion and impact.

Role Summary

The Academic Head will oversee all academic activities in the school – planning, supervision, evaluation, and improvement of teaching and learning. This role requires a visionary leader with strong instructional leadership skills, integrity, and the passion to drive academic excellence. The ideal candidate should be capable of inspiring teachers, engaging learners, and strengthening the school's Christian values and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that curriculum planning, lesson delivery, assessments, and academic reporting meet high standards.
  • Supervise teachers through regular classroom observations, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Lead the development and delivery of effective teacher training and continuous professional development.
  • Evaluate student performance data and implement strategies for academic improvement and growth.
  • Promote the integration of Christian values and character education across the school environment.
  • Provide strategic academic leadership that strengthens teaching quality and student learning outcomes.
  • Support the school’s overall growth strategy and help position Ethical Leaders Lyceum as a school of excellence in the Nungua area.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in education (master’s degree in education or related field is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5–10years teaching experience, with leadership, coordination, or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the updated GES curriculum and modern learner-centred instruction.
  • Experience in coaching teachers and improving classroom practice.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
