Job Description

Our non-profit organisation is seeking a highly motivated and skilled programs and grants development officer to support our programs and grants development.

The successful candidate will report to the head of management and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of grants ensuring that programs and grants activities are implemented on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential funding sources(Public, Private, Cooperative and Foundation grants)
  • Prepare compelling, evidence-based grants, proposals, letters of inquiry and reports.
  • Develop budgets and supporting documentation for grant submissions in coordination with finance and program staff.
  • Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to ensure timely submissions and reporting.
  • Track proposal outcomes and maintain accurate records in the organisation's grants database.
  • Collaborate with program teams to design and refine projects that align with the organisation mission and funder prioties.
  • Support program evaluation and impact measurement to strength future proposals.
  • Ensure funded programs comply with grants requirements, including deliverables reporting and budget use.  

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as project management, social science, or international development.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, including experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Fluent in Twi/Hausa and English, both written and verbal.
  • Must have a valid motor driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of our organisation.
