We are also licensed by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority as a Pensions Fund Manager and by the Ghana Commodities Exchange as a Commodities Broker. We are wholly Ghanaian-owned and have been in existence since 2013, focused on delivering innovative investment solutions and financial advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including public, private institutions and individuals.

About the Role

Temple is seeking a strategic Business Development Manager (BDM) who will be responsible for driving the growth of the firm by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and creating strategies to expand the firm’s market presence. This role will require a dynamic and results-driven individual who can build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate deals, and collaborate across various departments to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the firm’s client base and revenue streams
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging investment opportunities and trends in Ghana, across the West African region and Global
  • Analyze competitors’ offerings, market positioning, and identify gaps for business expansion.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Generate leads, initiate contact, and secure new business by targeting high-net-worth individuals (HNWI), corporate clients, and institutional investors
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients, ensuring consistent communication, exceptional service, and long-term partnerships
  • Provide clients with tailored investment solutions based on their needs and risk profile.

Revenue Growth:

  • Meet and exceed set targets revenue generation, and business expansion
  • Develop proposals, pitch decks, and presentations to potential clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals in a timely manner.

Marketing & Branding:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the firm’s brand and investment products to the target market
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to elevate the firm’s market visibility and reputation
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry regulations, trends, and competitive forces to effectively position the firm.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with the senior management team and team leads to develop innovative investment products and solutions
  • Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, pipeline, and overall progress
  • Ensure alignment with the firm’s overall strategic objectives and maintain adherence to regulatory standards.

Market Intelligence & Research:

  • Monitor market dynamics and identify potential investment sectors (e.g., real estate, energy, agriculture, financial services)
  • Provide strategic insights on economic, financial, and regulatory changes in Ghana and the wider West African market.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) or professional certifications in investment management (CFA, CIMG) is a plus.
  • Must have completed the Ghana Securities Industry Course
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management in the financial or investment sector
  • Demonstrable experience in acquiring high-net-worth clients, structuring investment deals, and meeting revenue targets
  • Solid understanding of the investment landscape in Ghana, including market regulations and trends.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze financial data, market trends, and investment opportunities
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Space and CRM tools
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills
