The Position: A Strategic Overview
The Director of Finance and Investments is a key member of the university's executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President. This executive will provide strategic financial stewardship, overseeing all aspects of the university's financial health, ensuring long-term sustainability, and driving growth through prudent investment and astute capital management.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, or a related field.
- A professional accounting or finance certification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA, or CFA) is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 1 year in a senior management role (e.g., Director of Finance, Controller, VP of Finance).
- Deep expertise in financial modelling, long-range forecasting, strategic budget management, and investment principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- High proficiency with advanced accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Preferred Attributes
- Substantial experience in the higher education or healthcare sector, with a strong understanding of their unique financial models (e.g., endowment accounting, grant management, tuition revenue cycles), is highly preferred.
- A collaborative and transparent leadership style with a proven ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven experience presenting to and advising executive boards.
