Key Purpose

To develop the lubricants business within the industrial, transport, agricultural and automotive sectors to ensure market share and sales are achieved in line with company policy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production and implementation of a structured and detailed plan to enable the achievement of agreed objectives and satisfy the desired development of volumes, sales and profitability.
  • Seeking out new business opportunities from new clients.
  • Maintain a detailed customer profile to assess the market potential and facilitate strategic planning.
  • Explore and pursue all opportunities to promote all products for profitable business.
  • Identify, appoint, and manage distributors and ensure monthly targets are met.
  • To ensure the Key Performance Indicators for Volumes & Gross Margins are delivered as per plan.
  • Providing Management Information Reports on monthly basis.
  • To carry out market analysis on competition, gather market intelligence in order to plan out sales promotional activities properly.
  • Effective management of branding activities in order to build strong brand presence in the market.

Specific Outcomes

  • Business opportunities identified and secured.
  • Annual volume targets met
  • Annual incremental growth of lubricants volumes
  • Increased profit and market share
  • Customer service objectives identified, and plan developed.
  • Customers within credit terms.
  • Compliance to business and industry regulations.
  • External written communications.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Applicant must have an MBA or related master’s degree
  • He/she must be a proven sales professional possessing a proven track record of success selling Lubricants or an allied aftermarket product or service to Plant, Transport, Industrial, Agricultural and Automotive sectors.

In addition, the applicant must exhibit the following:

  • Communication Skills (Verbal, Report Writing and Presentations).
  • High level of MS Office competency
  • Understanding of corporate governance trends
  • Basic finance knowledge.
  • Problem solving, interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills
  • Reliability, honesty, good ethics & ability to work under stress
