Overview:
The role of the Stores Officer is to ensure accurate accounting of materials received into the warehouse and carry out general stock administration.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, liaising with the requesting department/section, accounts, and the audit teams.
- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets the sites/subsidiary/departmental timescales/requirements.
- Supervise and control order collecting, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
- Organize, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals, working with the audit teams.
- Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements.
- Deliver products to the requester on time, every time using appropriate methods.
- Operate visual delivery tracking systems (Customs) in order that commodity status can be seen.
- Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to, to support dispatch time windows.
- Identify errors and eliminate root causes using robust counter measures.
- Control of Forklift Truck management to ensure full operational capacity and achieve daily targets.
- Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring housekeeping standards are always maintained.
- Monitor and maintain stock level accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system to highlight minimum and excess levels and therefore prevent part shortages.
- and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the management of supplier return packaging.
- Record and communicate all shortage issues on materials received.
- Other responsibilities assigned by Superiors.
