Job Summary:
The Resident Engineer at Vertiv is responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance for critical infrastructure systems, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), precision cooling, and other data center infrastructure equipment. This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction at client facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary on-site technical expert for Vertiv equipment and systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS systems, batteries, and cooling systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
- Coordinate with Vertiv’s technical support and engineering teams for complex issues.
- Provide training and guidance to customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in critical infrastructure or data center environments.
- Strong knowledge of UPS systems, power distribution, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage customer relationships.
- Willingness to be on-call and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Certifications such as PMP, OSHA, or manufacturer-specific training are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Vertiv products and services.
- Experience with monitoring and control systems (e.g., SCADA, BMS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
