North East Coastal Industries (NECI) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the job position of IT Technician.
Job Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding to service issues and requests promptly
- Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Performing electrical safety checks on computer equipment
- Setting up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in
- Solving password problems
- Talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter
- Conducting regular checks on the network and data security
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
- Participating in meetings with IT staff to discuss possible improvements to customer service
- Developing and maintaining local networks in ways that optimise performance
- Conducting regular system audits

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or relevant position
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organisational and time-management skills
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Diploma or HND in IT
