About This Role
To operate light vehicles in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner for the transport of personnel, documents, and light cargo, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate light vehicles (sedans, pickups, vans) to transport staff, guests, or materials as assigned.
- Perform routine checks on the vehicle (fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, lights) and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Always maintain a clean and presentable vehicle.
- Ensure proper use of logbooks, trip sheets, and fuel records.
- Comply with traffic laws, road safety, and company driving policies.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of passengers or goods.
- Report accidents, incidents, or near misses immediately to the supervisor.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo when necessary.
- Monitor and schedule vehicle servicing and maintenance as required.
- Ensure proper documentation is available in the vehicle (insurance, roadworthiness, license, etc.)

Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies
- A minimum of NVTI from or related field from a recognized institution.
- Valid driver’s license for light vehicles.
- Proven driving experience (typically 2+ years in mining industry preferred)
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically fit and able to sit for long periods or assist with cargo.
- Trustworthy, punctual, and responsible
