Role Description
This is an on-site internship position located in Adabraka, Accra. As a Web Developer Intern at Shopwice, you’ll assist in both front-end and back-end development, including:
- Creating and maintaining web pages
- Designing user interfaces
- Writing, testing, and debugging code
- Collaborating with the team on various web projects
You’ll gain practical experience working on a live WooCommerce-based e-commerce platform while contributing to real business impact.

Responsibilites
- Maintain and improve our WooCommerce-based website
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins for enhanced performance and design
- Optimize product and category pages for speed and mobile responsiveness
- Assist with API integrations, checkout enhancements, and bug fixes
- Work with team members to develop and launch new features
Qualification
- Basic experience with WordPress/WooCommerce
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP
- Experience using Git and platforms like GitHub
- Bonus: Familiarity with Elementor, Gutenberg Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and WooCommerce API
- Ability to work independently and solve problems creatively
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team
- Skills in Front-End Development, Web Design, and general Web Development
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
