Purpose of Role:
Responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, ensuring efficient production processes, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Results / Accountabilities
- Operate and monitor processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental rules
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Record and report production data and any equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in training new operators and technicians.
- Participate in preventive maintenance and stock counts.
- Control and report raw material usage and machine output.
- Monitor critical control points (CCP 1 and CCP 2).
- Regularly check outputs to ensure product quality and reduce waste.

What do we expect from you?
We are looking for someone who is committed, action oriented, problem solver and excellent relationship skills, pays attention to detail and is ready to explore the opportunities and challenges that the role brings.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
- HND in any related engineering course.
- Minimum 3-years proven experience as machine operator
- Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of current FSMS & ISO standards are a must.
- Knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery including any one or more of filling, cutting, packaging, pressing & wrapping granulating, boules, blending etc. machines and measurement tools
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Analytical mindset with the capability to identify patterns and trends from data.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the food industry.
