ROLE DESCRIPTION
You are responsible for delivering drugs to clients, ensuring the timely and safe transportation of prescribed medications from pick up points to clients’ locations, maintain accurate records of deliveries, and collect necessary acknowledgments from clients. The dispatch rider must communicate effectively with clients to confirm delivery details and resolve any logistical issues that may arise. Additionally, the dispatch rider must also ensure that motorcycle is in good working condition to guarantee consistent and reliable service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect prescribed medications from designated pick up locations for delivery to clients.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of drugs to clients' addresses, following assigned routes and schedules.
- Maintain proper handling and storage of pharmaceutical products during transit to preserve their quality and safety.
- Verify recipient identity and obtain required acknowledge with signature of clients as proof of delivery upon handing over the medication.
- Adhere to confidentiality when handling clients' personal and medical information.
- Communicate delivery updates and resolve basic client inquiries or delivery issues in a professional manner.
- Keep accurate records of all deliveries, including time and location.
- Ensure the motorcycle used for delivery is roadworthy and carry out routine checks and basic maintenance as needed.
- Follow all road safety regulations and internal company protocols while making deliveries.
- Report back to supervisor with delivery confirmations, feedback from clients, or any irregularities encountered.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure the safety of medications.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Education
- A minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) is required.
Experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in dispatch or delivery services preferably in a health care, logistics or pharmaceutical industry.

Key Skills
- Time management skills to ensure prompt and efficient deliveries within scheduled timeframes.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulation.
- Attention to details for verifying client information, medication labels, and delivery documentation accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact courteously and clearly with clients.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance to keep the delivery motorcycle or vehicle in good working condition.
- Navigational skills to use maps or GPS effectively and find the fastest, safest routes.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection to handle sensitive client and medical information responsibly.
- Should possess a valid motorcycle rider’s license with a clean riding record.
