--> Responsibilities
- Plans the term’s scheme of work, prepares weekly lesson notes and all necessary teaching and learning materials.
- Teaches effectively, gives class assignments and conducts tests and examinations.
- Show resourcefulness and creativity in assembling and using instructional materials
- Organise learner-centred activities involving practical work, projects, demonstrations, visits and investigations
- Attends courses organized by the school to improve upon teaching methods.
- Supports other specialist teachers in giving necessary training during extra curricular activities (games, clubs meetings, school worships, mass singing etc).
- Provides pupils/students with a positive role model and maintains discipline.
- Monitors the individual development of pupils/students.
- Investigates any sign of emotional or physical stress/abuse of pupils/students.
- Identifies quickly children who have learning disabilities or behavioural problems so that a support programme for each child/students can be developed.
- Takes active interest in SOS Children and participates fully in all SOS activities and programmes.
- Abides by the rules and regulations stipulated in the Conditions of Service.
- Performs any other duties assigned by your supervisor
