Job Description
- Location: Namdini Gold Mine Site, Bolgatanga
- Section/ Unit: Exploration and Mining Geology
- Department: Minerals and Resources Management
- Job reports to: Geology Superintendent
- Direct Reports: Mine Geologist, Exploration Geologist, Senior Technicians, Technicians and Samplers

Experience (Minimum)
- Minimum 7 years working experience with 3 years in a similar role.
- A proven track record in gold mining operations as well as exploration experience.
Knowledge (In-depth)
- Thorough understanding of Safety Management Systems.
- Sound knowledge of risk management and loss prevention processes.
- Strong presentation, organisational and communication skills.
- Valid Ghanaian Driver’s license and proficiency in driving.
- Strong capability in utilising Geostatistics and Variography for mineral resource estimation.
- Familiar with external reporting standards (JORC 2012, NI43-101, SAMREC)
- Strong Geological software and modelling skills in Leapfrog and Datamine
- Knowledge in using Micromine, MapInfo, GIS, or MPR will be added advantage.
- Writing technical reports following the NI 43-101 regulations.
Skills
- Experience and exposure across different geological settings and styles of mineralisation with much focus on the greenstone belt.
- A demonstrated ability to supervise and coach resource personnel.
- Very good computer skills in Microsoft Office tools and database management
- Demonstrates strong conceptual skills and is capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving, and technical reporting skills
- Results-oriented (achieving results)
Leadership and behavioural attributes
- Ability to apply knowledge of standards, methods, and procedures to work situations.
- Good team player in tasks involving cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented drive and solid work ethics with exceptional attention to details.
- Ability to train and mentor team members and demonstrate safety leadership
