The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures. The role involves pre-operative assessment, intraoperative monitoring, post-operative care, and active collaboration with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer appropriate anesthesia before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic levels as needed to ensure patient safety.
- Evaluate patients prior to procedures to determine the most suitable anesthesia plan.
- Provide pain management solutions and post-anesthesia care.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of anesthesia care.
- Respond promptly to emergencies related to anesthesia or patient deterioration.
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia processes when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to hospital protocols, health and safety regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications
- Certified Registered Anaesthetist (CRA) or BSc in Anesthesia from a recognized institution
- Licensed and in good standing with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
