We seek an experienced and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance activities for our mining support services company. The successful candidate will manage and supervise maintenance personnel, ensure that equipment and facilities are properly maintained, and implement maintenance procedures and protocols.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Management:
- Manage and supervise maintenance personnel, including mechanics, electricians, and other tradespeople.
- Ensure that maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure that equipment and facilities are properly maintained, including performing routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facilities, including identifying and addressing root causes of problems.
- Ensure that repairs are carried out safely and efficiently.
Safety Management:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out safely, including following safety procedures and protocols.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols.
Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory of spare parts and materials, including ordering and stocking.
- Ensure that inventory levels are adequate to support maintenance activities.
Qualifications
Education:
- Certificate or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering).
- Bachelor's degree or certifications (e.g., CMRP, CMRT) are desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum 35 years of experience in maintenance supervision, with a focus on the mining industry.
- Proven track record of managing and supervising maintenance personnel in the mining industry.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
