A distinguished Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Service provider engaged in community/ retail pharmacy and healthcare services is seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced, diligent and ethically grounded individual to fill the position of Assistant Internal Auditor, as part of its efforts to strengthen internal control systems and ensure compliance with financial and operational standards.

Overview Of Position

The Assistant Internal Auditor will support the Internal Auditor in conducting audits of financial, operational and compliance activities to ensure the integrity of the organization’s systems and processes. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Internal Auditor to identify risks, recommend improvements and promote the best practices in internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments in accordance with the organization’s audit plan.
  • Evaluate and review the adequacy of internal control systems, policies and procedures.
  • Perform risks assessments and assist in streamlining the audit processes of the organization.
  • Document audit findings, prepare working papers and contribute to the drafting of audit reports.
  • Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and report on progress
  • Support compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory standards,
  • Collaborate with departments to enhance financial accountability and operational efficiency.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in auditing or related area
  • Knowledge of internal auditing standards, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
