Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced System Engineer to join our Technical Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of complex systems and networks. These include servers, LAN/WAN infrastructure, virtualization environments, and enterprise IT systems. The System Engineer will also provide high-level technical support and serve as a resource to other engineers within the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical services and support across:
- Network Infrastructure: WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, cloud, and internal systems security.
- Microsoft Technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint.
- Virtualization Platforms: VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Remote Access Solutions: VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix.
- Monitoring Systems: Remote management of system alerts and notifications.
- Resolve escalated support issues and perform root cause analysis across core Microsoft solutions and network environments.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to design project solutions, assess client requirements, and support business development.
- Design and implement technical architectures and deployment plans for enterprise systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all systems, networks, and configurations.
- Evaluate user requirements, propose system modifications, and ensure seamless integration of new applications.
- Lead project management efforts for infrastructure projects.
- Contribute technical inputs during project scoping, estimation, and bid preparation.
- Support adherence to health, safety, and company policies.
- Lead disaster recovery planning, system backups, data migrations, and licensing compliance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide internal help desk support.
- Configure and maintain software applications, security settings, and access control.
- Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior engineers on complex projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients on system issues, progress updates, and project changes.
- Monitor and report on customer satisfaction and project performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
- Deep knowledge of IT systems, networking protocols, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in virtualization and containerization technologies.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Strong understanding of IT security standards and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are an added advantage.
