This role is physically demanding and requires a good understanding of safety procedures in mining environments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Jumbo offsiders help jumbo operators who control heavy drill rigs used to create blast holes and install ground support in underground mines.
- Assist in moving and setting up drilling rigs and equipment, ensuring everything is in place and functioning
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or repairs needs to the supervisor
- Conducting safety checks and ensuring that the drilling sites are safe and secure
- Helping obtains drilling core samples and managing the collection process
- Performing maintenance tasks such as cleaning mud pits and drains, and connecting power cables or hoses for water and air supply
- Perform additional cleaning tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Required Skills or Experience
- A minimum off Senior High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cleaner, or in a similar role is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage.
- Physical strength to perform cleaning tasks, including walking, lifting moderately heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to details and time management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving and operating licenses and able to drive manual vehicle
- Must have a valid community validation form
