Roles & Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons following the Cambridge Curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse needs, abilities, and learning styles of students.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to a diverse range of students' needs and learning styles.
  • Use formative assessment to personalize learning (Cambridge Progression Tests/Checkpoint)
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that celebrates student voice.
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of key syllabus areas.
  • Develop students' critical analysis, academic writing, and creative expression.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for Cambridge examinations through targeted practice and mock exams.
  • Monitor individual progress and provide differentiatied support for diverse learners.
  • Implement active learning strategies that promote critical thinking and creativity.
  • Foster global citizenship through Cambridge Global Perspectives.
  • Maintain strong parent partnerships through regular communication.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification & Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, Education or related field.
  • A postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience teaching Cambridge/IB English curricula.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and assessment procedures is a significant advantage.
  • Experience using digital tools and platforms for teaching is desirable.
