Title: Head of Unit, Vault Services
Reports To: Director, Technical
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of vault operations, ensuring the secure storage, accurate inventory control, and regulatory compliance of precious minerals and other high-value assets within the organisation’s custody.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of security protocol policies and procedures in managing vault operations
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of advanced security systems.
- Enforce stringent security protocols and access control procedures to safeguard vault assets.
- Oversee inventory management and control
- Ensure effective operational management of vault services through optimising vault space and resource utilisation.
- Collaborate with the risk department in managing the risk associated with vault services and operations
Qualification Required & Experience
Skills and Qualifications Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Security Management, Risk Management or related field
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in vault services operations and financial security, with at least four (4) years in a senior role.
- Experience in vault operations, secure storage, or high-value asset management.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, access control systems, and inventory management practices.
- Knowledge of relevant national and international regulations related to precious metals storage.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and security systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- High level of integrity
