Job Description

HHS is seeking an energetic, results-oriented and highly motivated young man aged between 25 and 30 for engagement as a DRIVER-MECHANIC to operate the school’s vehicle. The Driver-Mechanic is directly responsible to the Director, School Operations and ultimately to the CEO. It is recommended that the candidate stays in Dome, Kwabenya, Haatso, or environs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Shuttle/ transport pupils to and from school daily.
  • Carry out basic administrative duties in school and undertake errands as may be assigned
  • Keep vehicle neat at all times
  • Maintain vehicle log book
  • Ensure routine maintenance or repairs of the vehicle with approval.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications/Experience Candidates seeking appointment to this position must:

  • Hold a Junior High School or Senior High School qualification.
  • Hold a driver’s license B or better and be experienced in driving a bus in Accra and on the highway
  • Have at least 2-3 years’ experience as a driver-mechanic.
  • Be able to spot when a vehicle is not performing well and recommend servicing
