Job Description
Terms of Reference: Communications Assistant
- Contract Type: Consultancy Contract
- Contract Duration: Six (6) months and working a maximum of 15 days in a Month in the office and in the field.
- Expected Start Date: 1 April 2025.
- Duty Station: The Communications Assistant shall be based in Tamale, Ghana but should be available to travel within Ghana.

Required Skills or Experience
Required skills
- Writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling social media captions and event summaries.
- Experience in event coordination, including, stakeholder engagement, and follow-ups.
- Proficiency in photography and basic photo editing for event documentation.
- Familiarity with videography coordination and working with livestreaming service providers.
- Ability to design visibility materials such as banners and brochures while maintaining brand consistency.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing invitations, RSVPs, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong report writing skills.
- And any other task assigned to the communications assistant by the country team.
Education and Work Experience
- At least a first degree in Development Communication, Communication Studies, Journalism and other related fields.
- Two to three years working experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of Inclusive Business approach will be an added advantage.
- Experience in coordinating and managing stakeholder events.
- Experience in media (print and electronic) engagement for features.
- Experience in in the dissemination of relevant project information to varied stakeholders.
