JOB DESCRIPTION

This role oversees the business applications and processes for the receivables business unit. The role manages specific technology functions for the business unit and delivers all the technology requirements, ensuring alignment with its strategic goals and objectives. The role will drive the collaboration between the business and all other technology stakeholders (including external vendors), acting as a single point of contact between the business and technology.

Responsibilities for this role will include driving the analysis, interpretation of business requirements, solution design, development, testing, implementation and deployment of technology solutions. The role will lead and guide a team of technology professional or analysts to deliver on business goals. This role reports to and support the unit head and act in the place of the unit head to deliver on the technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews (and updates as required) the business requirements document to ensure it is clearly defined, concise, unambiguous, and understandable to all stakeholders.
  • Translates business requirements into functional / technical requirement documents. Ensures the breakdown of high-level business needs into detailed actionable steps
  • Together with relevant stakeholders, participates in the translation of the functional requirements into a detailed solution design document
  • Collaborates with the project management team to plan project, applying best practice methodologies to ensure successful delivery. Manages projects when required
  • Plays the role of a senior technical analyst on all technology initiatives or projects related to the receivables business. Executes technical tasks and activities
  • Provides testing support, collaborating with the testing team to develop test cases and ensure through testing of the solution
  • Acts as the senior business analyst for all initiatives; coordinates all tasks and interfaces with all stakeholders i.e., business, project managers, technology teams etc.
  • Facilitates meetings, communication, discussions between stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensures all project documentations, information and statuses are accurate and current. Periodically updates projects reports and dashboards
  • Develops presentations, reports and other tasks as requested by the head of unit or head of department
  • Implement and maintain the IT environments for the various business services i.e., Dev, UAT and Pre-Prod environments. Assist supporting the Production environments
  • Provides level 3 support and maintenance for business platforms and services, including the testing of new features, enhancements, system fixes, and infrastructure upgrades, as well as deployment and customizations.
  • Build and acquire core business knowledge and product knowledge on the merchant acquiring business. Understand the business processes, procedures and policies
  • Foster collaboration between the business and IT support teams to ensure that technology solutions meet functional requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and third-party vendors to address and resolve issues efficiently
  • Lead a team of analyst to deliver business initiatives, training and mentoring them and providing leadership and direction on their daily activities

Key Performance Indicators

  • Do not exceed set budget target ($).
  • Achieve customer satisfaction score (%).
  • Number of self-development programs completed within period (training, certifications)
  • All scheme certification initiatives must be completed
  • Timely resolution of all system audit exceptions
  • Percentage uptime or system availability within agreed business SLA
  • Percentage of project completed with SLA (timelines).
  • Number of prioritized projects completed
  • Percentage of L3 escalation resolved

Education & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computers Science, Engineering or related science is highly desirable.
  • Industry certifications e.g., CBAP, PMP, ITIL or related is an advantage

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in technology and business analysis.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of banking and financial services
  • Proven track record of delivering technology-related projects and managing business analysis functions.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience managing technical cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and IT operations staff.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and collaborating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical capabilities into business value propositions.
  • Knowledge of modern technology stacks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity standards etc.
  • Must have enterprise IT experience and a good working knowledge of the use of productivity tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including strong verbal, written communication skills and excellent listening skills are required.
  • Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
