The Rosewood Cottage is a training and eco-friendly guesthouse located in Kyirapatre, Kumasi, within the Asokwa Municipality
Job Description
We are looking for young, vibrant, and self-motivated individuals to join our team in the following positions:
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in food preparation.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and request supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation and service.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
- Plate and present dishes in an attractive, appetizing, and professional manner.
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development to enhance food offerings.
- Oversee kitchen operations during shifts, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and management to ensure seamless service.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to manage food costs and reduce waste.

Required Skills or Experience
- NVTI 1, Advanced Cookery Certificate, City & Guilds, National Certificate II in Catering, or a Diploma in Hospitality Operations.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional attitude.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
