Role:

Reporting to the Talent Manager & HRBP

The Talent Specialist will be responsible for supporting key HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role also plays a vital part in the Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives, ensuring employees have access to ongoing growth opportunities. The incumbent works closely with leadership and department heads to implement HR policies, enhance employee engagement, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Employee Relations

  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee records management, HR compliance, and policy implementation.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of HR-related concerns.
  • Assist in employee relations by addressing grievances, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching initiatives.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct new employee onboarding sessions and ensure a seamless integration experience.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs and improve hiring processes.

Learning & Development (L&D)

  • Identify training needs through surveys, manager feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs, workshops, and learning sessions for employees.
  • Support the development of training materials and manage the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Track employee training progress and effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with external trainers or vendors for specialized training programs.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Assist in developing HR strategies to enhance company culture and employee satisfaction.
  • Assist the Corporate Communications and Engagement Specialist in organizing employee engagement initiatives such as wellness programs, team-building activities, and recognition programs.

HR Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field
  • At least three (3) years of experience in HR generalist roles, with exposure to training and Learning & Development.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various assessment techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple HR tasks while maintaining a people-first approach.
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with digital recruitment tools including social media, resume databases and professional networks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, labour laws, and best practices.
