The mission of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department is to empower communities within the GEGL pipeline right-of-way, with a particular focus on project-affected persons (PAPs), especially women and girls. OBJECTIVE:

The Rural, Outreach and Water (RoW) Agricultural Superintendent will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting field data to support informed decision-making processes. This role involves conducting on-site investigations, assessing operational conditions, supervising on-site activities, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices. Given the importance of agriculture in the CSR mission, this position requires hands-on experience in farming and agricultural practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough field assessments and risk analyses to identify potential operational challenges and provide recommendations.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from field activities, provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure that all field tasks are carried out safely, adhering to organizational safety standards and best practices.
  • Report and investigate incidents in the field, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate field equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of collected data.
  • Conduct training sessions for field personnel on data collection protocols, safety practices, and relevant regulations.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations during all field operations, ensuring adherence to legal and organizational requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for improving field operations based on collected data, analysis, and field observations.
  • Assist with any additional tasks or projects as requested by the Supervisor or Management.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continually enhance the effectiveness of field operations.

PROCUREMENT

  • Responsible for all Purchase and Service Order Agreements associated with the scope of work.
  • Ensure that all the necessary requests are raised on the Procurement / Accounting system (Sage X3).
  • Follow-up on the releasing of approved funds.

FINANCE

  • Assist the Departmental Head in the preparation of the monthly budget.
  • Develop and manage all budget items, including cost control and expenditure forecasting.
  • Ensure the budget is in line with the department’s scheduled activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Farming experience is mandatory.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in field analysis, data collection, farming programs, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry or for an NGO.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Hands-on experience in field investigations and compliance monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and field operation standards.
  • Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) or similar mapping tools is an advantage.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and report writing.
  • Knowledge in intercropping and small-scale farming.
  • Ability to work in challenging field conditions and adapt to changing environments
