What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and talented Trade Execution Specialist to join our team based in Tema. He/she should have strong knowledge in international trade execution, logistics, and supply chain, with a business-driven mindset and excellent organizational skills.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate will be part of the Supply Chain and Operations Team and report to the Supply Chain and Operations Manager. The main objective of this role is to ensure the proper execution of third-party and intercompany trade contracts and to assist traders/buyers in the daily operations required for the successful development of the trade business.

The Key Responsibilities

  • Execute international third-party and intercompany trades to Africa.
  • Ensure “On time in Full” product delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Order to Delivery processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the issuance and transmission of all necessary export/import documentation (import/export licenses, ECTN, BLs, BESC, etc.).
  • Communicate continuously with all stakeholders in procurement and logistics to ensure a smooth process.
  • Handle adequate problem-solving interventions.
  • Assist the legal department in reviewing commercial contract terms.
  • Provide documentary instructions and appoint supervision companies.
  • Send out nominations for bulk vessels and follow up on claims (insurance and laytime).
  • Ensure all order-related information is updated promptly in dedicated systems.
  • Reconcile goods and freight invoices against expected costs and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure shipping documentation is accurate, complete, and received on time.
  • Enter new Purchases and Sales Orders in the ERP system.
  • Confirm purchase orders and proforma invoices to suppliers & customers and maintain proper documentation.
  • Create new customers, suppliers, and products in the database while collecting required information.
  • Organize the shipment of samples between suppliers, customers, and logistics.
  • Provide required documentation to customers (TDS, MSDS, CoA, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate reporting to various stakeholders.
  • Assist buyers and the Trade Execution Manager on projects.
  • Other duties as assigned, including archiving.

If you possess…

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in Trade, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms, HS Codes, and international shipping documentation.
  • Experience handling shipping documentation from key locations (EU, Africa, China, etc.).
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel).

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with AfCFTA working modalities.
  • Experience with project management tools (JIRA, D365 Dynamics Power BI).
